Philip Geiger (retired band director from Houston, TX) and his team have continued to add more and more to their very helpful technological tool (TonalEnergy Tuner) that continues to assist in multiple ways in the band and orchestra classrooms. Its compatibility with smartphones makes this app very accessible for DHH students to use on their own hearing assisting devices, espcially with the metronome as well as their real live sounds provided on the Sound feature of the app!
Soundbrenner Metronome device enhances the tactile and audio learning for all musicians. By creating vibrating pulses (which can be set at low, medium, high), the musician can FEEL the pulse without damage to their hearing or concern of delaying the audio processing). Easily syncs to the Soundbrenner app on smart devices.
Emily Gurwitz (retired band director from San Antonio, TX) continues to hit the hot spots that are very important to the young and the experienced flute players. Using the Flute Holder Pro is great for ALL levels of flute playing and allows the student and the teacher to focus on finger placement and correct playing technique. This product is also beneficial in their musical growth if they may be suffering from any signs of muscular dystrophy.
Extendabone is a trombone slide extension handle that easily attaches to the instrument brace and allows the younger/smaller player (and more experienced too!) reach 6th and 7th positions with ease. This can easily be removed when the student has grown to no longer needing the device.
